Never touched a guitar before? No worries! Everyone starts somewhere and I have plenty of experience teaching total beginners - I’ve worked in schools for years!
Intermediate
Know a few chords and songs and want to know a few more? Are there a few things that you find yourself struggling to play every time? The internet can only get you so far, let’s start working smarter rather than harder!
Advanced
Alright, so we’re getting pretty serious here, take everything listed under the “Theory” section.. but the difference is we’ll look at applying it to the instrument rather than talk about it. Is it hard - yes, is it fun - I think so!
Theory
Scale and chord construction, functional harmony, improvising, composition, ear training, syncopation and rhythmic subdivision and sight reading. Want to know what those words mean? Ask away!
VCE/Exam prep
Whaddayamean I gotta remember (at least) 108 scales plus 156 chords as well as rhythmic and melodic dictation and Roman numeral analysis? Fear not.. I can show you how to cheat! (sort of)
Approaches to practice
Yeah, I get it. It’s hard to pick the bloody thing up some days. Especially when you are getting hammered with a bunch of stuff in a short time frame (did you read the VCE section). We’ve all been there, but there is a way forwards - trust me.
